How did you become aware of your Psychic abilities?
As a child I had premonitions that came to fruition. I also saw my Grandfather in spirit before we knew that he died. Unfortunately this was not encouraged as a child, so I quickly learned not to talk about it. I rediscovered this in adulthood when I was in a relationship with a psychic medium. I was surprised to discover that Psychic TV Australia was on television and that there were other people in the world like me. I started reading books on spirituality and began having psychic development classes with Florence King. I joined the PTV Australia team in 2016. I now have my own business doing psychic mediumship readings and teaching psychic development. I love travelling to psychic fairs around Australia and the world. I host my own psychic fairs and enjoy helping new psychics on their journey.

What has become a highlight of your lightwork and connecting with spirit?
Surprisingly, it has helped me heal myself by allowing me to better understand grief and trauma I have experienced. My intention has been to help people and I have done this and helped myself in the process.

When working with clients, what aspect of this process brings you the most joy?
I love empowering clients in their life, and love giving them insight, which is often a different perspective that they had not considered. I provide a safe space for clients, with no judgement. A client always has free will. The aspect that brings me the most joy is knowing that I had a small part in their positive transformation. Often a reading with me is a turning point in them taking a leap of faith or understanding a situation better.

What is your personal method for opening to messages and/or spirit connection?
I say a little prayer to myself, to open myself to messages and to protect myself. I tune-in and ask for help from my spirit guides and higher self. Then I welcome anyone who would like to come through with pure intentions and I am receptive to learn and develop my own abilities.

What is your personal method for grounding, or closing out, after a client session?
Luckily I live near the beach, so I often go for walks. I drink a lot of water when I am doing readings and I take regular breaks. Music is great to change the energy to refresh or recharge.

Have you always worked spiritually, or have you worked in other fields/careers?
I have a very broad education and vocation history, and started working in retail as a teenager. I have also worked in event management, hospitality and have tutored secondary students in chemistry, maths, physics and biology. Having also worked as a medical scientist for twenty years, in Australia and the UK, which covered clinical work, research and management. I am also an Australian legal practitioner and have volunteered and practiced in three Australian jurisdictions.
My spiritual path was initially a hobby and I had a wonderful teacher and mentor, Florence King. I also give thanks to Francis Bevan. Guided by spirit to take a leap of faith to the spiritual realm and I am enjoying having my own business. I am the Secretary and Academy board member of the Australian Spiritual Alliance (ASA). And enjoy being a part of this, to ensure that our industry strives for professional and ethical standards. I write for The Spiritual Voice by the ASA and The Body Mind Soul Magazine in Malaysia.

What is your idea of a perfect Saturday evening?
After exploring somewhere different, I love cooking dinner with my husband and then relaxing with a movie or watching YouTube. Travel is my passion in life, so our conversation typically incorporates travel in some way.

What is your one key piece of advice for anyone considering whether or not to have a professional psychic reading?
Choose a reader who resonates with you. You can visit psychic fairs and choose a reader on the day or you can research readers before you go. Check out their testimonials, as this should give you some idea of the topics they cover and how they made clients feel. You may have seen the psychic reader on TV or social media or heard them on radio. You may have read about them or read something by them. Consider any recommendations but always rely on your gut instinct / feeling.
Chat to the reader first, so that you get a feel of whether they will be non-judgemental and give you clarity. You should feel comfortable asking any questions or changing the direction of the reading if you feel the need. Ask the psychic if they are straightforward or more gentle in their approach. You should feel safe and respected in that space.
Be open and receptive to receive messages. Let the psychic do all the work, without much information from you. A good psychic will pick up on what is going on in your life and how this relates to your past. This will give you clarity about how to act or at least change things for a better outcome for you.
In summary, trust your instincts in deciding to have a psychic reading and in choosing a psychic reader. A good psychic will give you clarity and leave you feeling empowered. A great psychic will give you the knowledge of your own psychic tools at your disposal.
